The Half She Gave Away

Part 1 – The Name She Never Expected to Hear Again

The elderly woman stopped breathing the moment the little girl said her mother’s name.

Part 2 – The Half She Gave Away

She gave him the pendant.

— “She said you told her to forget you,” the girl whispered.

The woman’s eyes filled with tears.

— “Where is she now?”

The girl looked down.

— “She told me to find you before she left.”

The man behind them realized something the woman was only beginning to understand.

This wasn’t coincidence.

This was unfinished love.

And the ring on her hand was never just jewelry.

It was a promise she never kept.
