Part 2: The old man’s breathing turned uneven as he stared at the crying little girl.

“That’s impossible,” the elegant woman snapped immediately. “You’re confused.”

But he wasn’t looking at her anymore.

He was looking at Sofia.

“Where did you get that bracelet?” he asked, his voice shaking.

Sofia slowly stood, still protecting her daughter with one arm, tears running down her face.

“My mother gave it to me before she died,” she whispered. “She told me if anyone ever recognized it… I should run.”

The crowd went dead quiet.

The woman in silk gloves suddenly turned pale.

The old man took the bracelet carefully into his hands, staring at the tiny engraved initials hidden inside.

They were the initials of his dead granddaughter.

Only… now he understood the truth.

The child never died.

Someone had lied.

His eyes moved slowly toward the elegant woman beside him.

“You told us the bracelet was buried with her,” he said. “You told us there was nothing left.”

The woman stepped backward. “I did what I had to do.”

Gasps spread through the crowd.

Sofia’s whole body went cold.

“What are you saying?” she whispered.

The old man’s eyes filled with tears as he looked at the little girl.

Then he said the words that changed everything:

“She is not your daughter, Sofia… she is my granddaughter. My real granddaughter. And someone stole her from this family.”

The little girl clung tighter to Sofia, crying harder.

Sofia looked at him in horror. “No… no, she’s my child…”

But the woman finally broke.

“She was supposed to disappear!” she shouted. “Do you know what would have happened to our inheritance if the real heir had survived?!”

The carousel kept spinning.

The music kept playing.

And in the middle of the happiest place in the city, one family’s buried secret exploded in front of everyone.
