🎬 PART 2: «The Blood on the Spur»

The stable went silent.

The girl held the rider’s boot in both hands, staring at the blood on the spur while the little stable boy shook in the dirt behind her.

The rider tried to pull away.

“He’s lying.”

But the horse lowered its head toward the boy through the stall bars, breathing softly now, like it only wanted to know he was alive.

The girl’s eyes filled with tears.

“You hurt both of them.”

The boy wiped dust from his face, his voice breaking.

“He came at me with that. The horse kicked the door to stop him.”

The rider looked toward the stable entrance, panic rising.

Then the stable owner walked in.

His eyes went from the boy on the ground to the bloodied spur in the girl’s hand.

No one had to explain much after that.

The owner opened the stall carefully.

The horse stepped out slowly, trembling, then lowered its nose to the boy’s shoulder.

The boy wrapped both arms around its neck and cried into its mane.

“He’s not dangerous,” he whispered. “He was scared.”

The owner turned to the rider, voice cold.

“No. He was brave.”

And for the first time, everyone in that stable saw the truth.

The horse they wanted to take away had been protecting the smallest boy there.
