🎬 PART 2: «The Card Behind Her Back»

The old flower seller reached for the card before the planner could walk away.

She pulled back, but the market had already gone silent.

The little girl stayed on her knees, holding broken yellow petals in both hands, whispering, “Mom said she wanted to see sunshine.”

The old man’s face changed.

He knew that room.

A woman from the hospital had ordered yellow flowers that morning. Paid in advance. Begged for them to arrive before her daughter came back.

But the flowers never left the market.

The planner had taken the order card and kept the best yellow roses for a wedding arch across town.

The old flower seller’s voice shook.

“You sold her mother’s flowers to someone else.”

The planner went pale.

The little girl looked up, confused.

“My mom paid?”

No one answered at first.

That silence hurt more than the crushed bouquet.

The old man knelt beside her and picked up one broken stem, then another.

“Your mother wanted to surprise you,” he said softly. “She didn’t forget you.”

The girl’s lips trembled.

“She said she might sleep soon,” she whispered. “I didn’t want her to wake up alone.”

The old man stood and swept every yellow flower from his stall into his arms.

Then every vendor around him did the same.

Roses. Daisies. Sunflowers. More yellow than the girl could carry.

The planner stood frozen as the market turned away from her.

And the little girl walked toward the hospital with enough flowers to bring the morning back to her mother’s room.
