🎬 PART 2: «The Applause That Exposed Him»

The whole restaurant turned toward the sound.

An older woman in a decorated military dress uniform stood near the entrance, clapping slowly, her face calm but furious.

The man on the floor went pale.

“Colonel…”

The waitress’s eyes flickered.

She knew that voice.

The colonel walked closer, every step making the room quieter.

“I watched enough.”

The man tried to sit up.

“She attacked me.”

The waitress kept his arm secured, but her voice stayed steady.

“He hit me first.”

The colonel looked at the orange-stained uniform.

Then at the waitress’s red cheek.

Then back at him.

“You wear that uniform like it gives you permission.”

His face tightened.

“I served.”

The colonel’s voice dropped.

“No. You wore medals that were never yours.”

A shocked murmur moved through the restaurant.

The waitress slowly released his arm and stood.

The man looked terrified now.

The colonel held up a folder.

“Stolen commendations. Fake service record. Public intimidation. And now assault.”

The waitress stared at him, realizing the uniform had been another weapon.

The colonel turned to her.

“You handled yourself with restraint.”

The waitress swallowed.

“I didn’t want trouble.”

The colonel’s face softened.

“I know. Real discipline usually belongs to the person who doesn’t need to prove it.”

The man lowered his head, finally small without the uniform protecting him.

The waitress touched her cheek, eyes wet but steady.

“You humiliated me because you thought I was just a waitress.”

The colonel looked at him coldly.

“And she defended herself like the former military police instructor she is.”

The diners froze.

The waitress looked down, quiet pain in her eyes.

“I left that life because I was tired of men confusing power with violence.”

The colonel stepped beside her.

“And tonight, you reminded this room what strength actually looks like.”
