🎬 PART 2: «The Wedding Day He Found His Mother»

The woman’s face broke, but she didn’t move closer.

“No,” she whispered. “I didn’t die.”

The groom shook his head slowly, like refusing the truth could still save him.

“My parents told me—”

“They told you what they paid people to tell you.”

The bride turned toward him, devastated.

“Daniel…”

The homeless woman flinched at the name.

Her hand rose to her mouth.

“That was the name I gave you.”

The groom went completely still.

The guests behind them stopped whispering.

The woman reached into her coat with shaking fingers and pulled out a folded hospital bracelet, old and yellowed with time.

“I kept mine,” she said. “Because they took yours.”

The groom stared at it, his proud wedding-day face collapsing into something younger, frightened, lost.

“My parents said I was adopted.”

“I never signed anything,” she whispered. “I never gave you away. They told me you stopped breathing. Then they buried an empty box and told me to disappear.”

The bride’s bouquet slipped from her hands onto the stone step.

The groom looked back at the church doors, at the guests, at the life he had just walked into without knowing the life stolen behind him.

Then he looked at the woman.

Her torn scarf.

Her trembling hands.

Her eyes — his eyes.

His voice cracked.

“Why did you come today?”

She tried to smile, but tears fell instead.

“Because I saw your wedding notice in a newspaper someone threw away. And I thought… before I die, my son should know he was loved.”

That broke him.

He walked down the steps slowly, every guest watching.

Then he stopped in front of her.

For one second, neither of them touched.

Then he whispered, “Say my name again.”

The woman covered her mouth, sobbing softly.

“Daniel.”

And the groom fell into his mother’s arms on the church steps, while his bride stood behind him crying — not because the wedding was ruined, but because the truth had finally arrived before it was too late.
