The homeless child wiped his face and explained that years earlier, on the coldest day of winter, he had been starving near the market gates. People passed him without even looking.
Only one child stopped.
It was the boy in the wheelchair.
He had taken off his own coat, placed it over the freezing child’s shoulders, and given him the food from his lunchbox.
The homeless boy had never forgotten that moment.
When he later heard that the same boy had lost the ability to walk, he came every day to the garden gate, praying for him from a distance.
That morning, he had finally found the courage to step inside.
The rich man’s anger slowly disappeared. His face cracked with emotion.
Then suddenly, the boy in the wheelchair gasped.
He looked down.
His toes moved.
His hands gripped the armrests.
And with tears streaming down his face, he whispered,
“Dad… I felt that.”
