Part 2 The rain kept pouring as everyone stared at the man in shock.

The bus worker laughed nervously and said,

“What are you talking about?”

The stranger stood up slowly, still shielding the crying girl with one arm.

His voice shook with anger.

“I’ve been searching for her since this morning.”

The whole bus stop went silent.

Then he reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and showed the screen to the driver and the children nearby.

It was the same little girl.

Same face.
Same uniform.
Same pink hair clip.

And beneath her photo were the words:

Missing child. Medical condition. Needs assistance.

The bus worker’s face drained of color.

The man looked at her and said,

“She was terrified, injured, and alone… and you threw her into the street.”

The little girl grabbed his hand and whispered through tears,

“You came back…”

That’s when everyone realized the stranger wasn’t a stranger at all.

He was the only person who had promised her mother he would never stop looking for her.
