Part 2: The room fell into dead silence.

The girl stopped playing and looked up, confused, as the older woman pushed through the crowd with trembling hands.

“It can’t be…” she whispered.
“Sofia’s daughter vanished that same night. We searched for months.”

The millionaire staggered back like he couldn’t breathe.

Years ago, his younger sister Sofia had disappeared after threatening to expose a family secret.
That same night, her baby vanished too.
Everyone was told they were both dead.

But now the little girl was sitting in front of him—alive.

The older woman dropped to her knees and gently turned the girl’s wrist toward the chandelier light.

There was no mistake.

The same birthmark.
The same eyes.
The same delicate hands Sofia once had.

The millionaire’s voice broke.

“Who took you?”

The little girl looked at him with innocent eyes and whispered:

“An old woman told me my mother cried when they took me away from the hotel.”

The millionaire collapsed into a chair, horror covering his face.

Because he remembered that night.

And he remembered who had ordered the child to disappear.

His own wife.
