🎬 PART 2: «The Signature at the Bottom»

The conductor stopped just before touching the page.

The small crowd went silent around the wet bridge, watching his face lose every bit of pride.

The girl held the music sheet tightly to her chest.

“My teacher said if anyone tried to steal it, I should show the signature,” she whispered.

The conductor’s eyes filled with tears.

“Who was your teacher?”

The girl looked down at her broken violin.

“My mother.”

The conductor covered his mouth.

Years ago, he had written that melody with a young violinist nobody believed in. She was brilliant, poor, and brave enough to tell him his music had no heart until she touched it.

Then she vanished.

And the world heard his famous piece without ever knowing half of it had been hers.

The girl’s voice shook.

“She said you promised to put her name beside yours.”

The conductor looked at the secret signature at the bottom.

There were two names.

His.

And her mother’s.

The guard stepped back, suddenly ashamed.

The little brother wiped his tears and whispered, “Can she still play?”

The conductor looked at the broken violin, then at the girl’s shaking hands.

“No,” he said softly. “Not on this.”

He removed his own violin case from his assistant’s hand and opened it.

Inside was a priceless concert violin.

He placed it in front of the barefoot girl.

“Play it with the name I stole.”
