PART 2: “The Passenger List Changed”

The pilot lowered his head respectfully.

“Mrs. Laurent,” he said. “Would you like us to prepare your cabin?”

My brother’s smile disappeared instantly.

“What did he just call you?”

I wrapped the rabbit in my scarf and handed it back to Emma.

Then I looked at my family.

“The jet belongs to my company,” I said.

Nobody spoke.

For years, my brother rented luxury things pretending he owned them.

My family believed every word because they wanted to.

But the pilot opened the aircraft door and waited for me.

Not for him.

My mother whispered, “You… own the jet?”

I nodded slowly.

“And nobody who humiliates my daughter flies on it.”

My brother exploded. “You can’t leave us here!”

I stared at him coldly.

“You left my child crying on the runway over a toy.”

Airport security stepped closer.

The cameras that once made him feel important were now recording his humiliation instead.

Emma squeezed my hand.

“Mom… are we still going to Monaco?”

I smiled softly.

“Yes, sweetheart.”

Then we boarded the jet while my family stood stranded behind the gates, finally realizing who had truly paid for their luxury all along.
