A confident silver-haired woman… elegant, mysterious.
And a much younger man beside her.
Some guests whispered quietly.
“Is that her boyfriend?”
“He looks young enough to be her son…”
But neither of them seemed to care.
Minutes later they were inside the hotel room.
The warm light from the bedside lamp filled the room with a soft glow.
The woman stepped closer and looked at him carefully, almost as if she was studying his face.
The young man shifted uncomfortably.
“You’re staring at me like you know me,” he said.
The woman smiled slowly.
“Maybe I do.”
He laughed.
“That’s impossible. We’ve never met.”
For a moment she said nothing.
Then she gently touched his cheek.
“You have his eyes,” she whispered.
The young man frowned.
“Whose?”
Instead of answering, the woman opened her purse and took out a small old photograph.
She handed it to him.
The moment he saw the picture, his heart skipped.
It was his father.
Standing next to the same woman.
But much younger.
The young man looked up in shock.
“Who are you?”
The woman took a deep breath.
And quietly said:
“The woman your father tried to forget.”
Part 2 in the comments…
The young man stared at her, confused.
“My father died ten years ago,” he said.
The woman slowly shook her head.
“No… he didn’t tell you everything about his life.”
She walked to the window and looked outside.
“Thirty years ago he made a mistake that changed three lives forever.”
The young man felt a strange tension growing in his chest.
“What mistake?”
The woman turned back toward him.
Her eyes were full of emotion.
“Your father and I loved each other once,” she said quietly.
The young man froze.
“That’s impossible. He was already married to my mother.”
The woman nodded slowly.
“Yes… and that’s exactly why he left.”
Silence filled the room.
Then the young man asked the question that had been burning in his mind:
“So why did you want to meet me now?”
The woman stepped closer.
Her hands were trembling slightly.
“For thirty years,” she whispered, “I’ve been searching for the child they took away from me.”
The young man felt his heart start racing.
“What child?”
The woman looked straight into his eyes.
And said the sentence that made the entire world around him stop.
“I wasn’t your father’s lover…”
A tear rolled down her cheek.
“I was the woman who gave birth to you.”
