🎬 PART 2: «The Assistant Who Couldn’t Lie»

The rich man stared at the bottle in his assistant’s hand like the hospital room had just turned against him.

The monitor kept beeping.

The old man struggled for breath.

The nurse moved first.

She took the real pills, checked the label, and shouted for help. The intern finally found his courage and ran for the doctor.

The assistant backed toward the door.

“I was told to switch them,” he whispered.

The rich man’s face went pale.

“By who?”

The assistant looked at the elderly man in the bed, then at the rich man.

His voice broke.

“Your brother.”

The room froze.

The nurse’s eyes sharpened with horror.

The rich man slowly turned toward the hallway, where his brother had been standing moments earlier, pretending to cry for the cameras.

The elderly patient’s weak hand moved on the blanket.

The nurse leaned close.

His lips trembled.

“Will…”

The rich man bent down, tears filling his eyes.

His father whispered one broken sentence.

“He wanted the company.”

The assistant covered his face, shaking.

The nurse pressed the emergency button again, her voice firm through the fear.

“He’s still alive. And now he has a witness.”

The rich man looked at the nurse he had just humiliated.

For the first time, shame silenced him.
