Part 2 The screen displayed Orion Corporation’s shareholder registry.

The guests leaned closer as the numbers appeared.

For years Jonathan Pierce had been listed as the majority owner.

But the document on the screen showed something very different.

Over the past year, a private investment fund had quietly purchased shares through dozens of different transactions.

Each purchase had seemed small.

But together they added up to something shocking.

53%.

A controlling majority.

The name of the fund’s owner appeared on the screen.

It was the maid’s name.

The ballroom erupted with shocked voices.

“That’s impossible,” one of the board members shouted.

But the company’s legal director stepped forward calmly.

“It’s completely legal,” he confirmed.

“The acquisition was finalized last month.”

Natalie stepped backward slowly.

“You’re telling me she owns the company?”

Jonathan smiled faintly.

“No.”

Then he looked at the woman beside him.

“She owns the chair I’ve been sitting in for twenty years.”

The room went silent.

The maid slowly looked around the ballroom.

For the entire evening people had ignored her.

Some had asked security to remove her.

Now those same executives stared at her with fear.

Because the woman they believed was cleaning the floor…

was about to become their CEO.
