🎬 PART 2: «The Room Her Mother Was Afraid to Show»

The dark office feed began to play.

At first, nothing moved.

Then the father saw himself on the screen, sitting at his desk weeks earlier, signing documents while someone watched from behind the camera.

His breathing changed.

“That’s my private office.”

Ava’s mother covered her mouth.

“I tried to stop it.”

Ava turned to her.

“You hit me.”

Her mother’s eyes filled.

“I know.”

The father’s voice went cold.

“Who put the cameras here?”

The mother shook her head, breaking now.

“Your brother.”

The room froze.

Ava looked at her father, confused.

“Uncle Mark?”

Her mother nodded, crying.

“He said if I told you, he would release the videos. He said he’d make it look like I was spying on you for the divorce.”

The father stepped back.

“What divorce?”

“He forged the papers,” she whispered. “He wanted the company shares. He needed proof of your passwords, your meetings, your safe codes.”

Ava slowly lifted the teddy bear.

“He gave this to me on my birthday.”

Her father’s face collapsed.

The little girl’s voice shook for the first time.

“I heard it buzzing at night.”

The mother reached for her, but Ava stepped back.

“You told me I was imagining things.”

“I was scared,” her mother cried.

Ava’s lips trembled.

“So was I.”

That broke her father more than the cameras.

He knelt in front of his daughter and took the teddy bear from her hands.

“You did the right thing.”

Then he stood and looked at his wife.

“You should have protected her before she had to protect us.”

The mother lowered her head, sobbing.

On the TV, the dark office feed suddenly changed.

Mark appeared on screen, looking directly into the hidden camera.

Then his voice filled the room.

“By the time he finds out, the house will already be mine.”

Ava grabbed her father’s hand.

He looked at the screen, then at the front door.

And just then, the doorbell rang.
